What are the different payment methods available for electricity bills?

You have several options to pay your electricity bills:

  • Credit Cards: Most electricity providers accept credit card payments for bill settlement. You can use your credit card to pay online through the provider website/app or pay offline by swiping your card at authorised collection centres.
  • Debit Cards: Debit card payments are also accepted by electricity providers. Like credit cards, you can use your debit card to pay online or make card payments at offline collection points.
  • Net Banking: You can pay your electricity bills easily via net banking through NEFT/RTGS transfer facilities offered by your bank's internet banking portal or mobile app.
  • UPI: Electricity bills can be paid instantly using any UPI app like Shriram One, BHIM, PhonePe, Google Pay etc. Just link your bill details on the UPI platform to make quick payments.
  • Mobile Wallets: Several mobile wallet apps like Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge etc. have bill pay features for electricity bills allowing digital payments.
  • Offline: You can pay your electricity bills offline by visiting provider collection offices or authorised pay points and paying cash along with your latest bill.
