How can I pay my electricity bill?

Paying your electricity bill in India is quite straightforward. Most electricity providers like BSES, Tata Power, Adani etc. offer multiple convenient options to pay your bill.

The most common method is paying online through the provider's website or mobile app using netbanking, credit card, or other digital payment modes. You simply need to choose your electricity biller and enter your customer ID to login and make the payment. This is the fastest and most convenient option.

You can also opt for auto-debit, which automatically deducts the bill amount from your bank account every month. The NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) has introduced a new AutoPay facility for recurring payments, enabling customers to set up automatic e-mandates using any UPI app to pay electricity bills regularly each month.

Paying through offline modes is also possible - either at the provider's collection office or authorised pay points like post offices, kiosks etc. Just carry your latest bill and make cash payment.

So, choose the electricity bill payment method that best suits your needs and schedule. Paying online is the most efficient way to avoid late payment charges or disconnection.
