Do rewards programs have expiration dates for earned rewards?

Most rewards programs have defined expiration policies for unused rewards for which members have previously redeemed points. Typically, rewards are valid for a limited tenure after being issued, ranging from 3 months to up to a year in some cases.

Any rewards not used by members within the validity period will expire and can no longer be claimed. For example, if a dining voucher is redeemed and has a 6-month validity window but isn’t used, it will expire at the end of that term.

Checking a rewards program’s specific ‘Terms & Conditions’ is the best way to find complete expiration details concerning earned points and already redeemed unused rewards. This information enables members to manage rewards redemption and usage most effectively based on associated tenure limits.
