Can I pay my hospital bill through the hospital's official website?

Unfortunately, most hospitals in India do not currently have the provision to pay bills directly through the hospital's website.

Hospitals predominantly have manual counters, where patients must pay the final billed amount either digitally or in cash once they are discharged or for ongoing treatment.

The common payment options available at the hospital billing counters include:

  • Cash payment - Pay the total bill amount via cash at the counter and collect a printed receipt.
  • Digital payments - Options like credit/debit cards, UPI apps, QR code scans, net banking, etc., allow you to pay seamlessly without cash.
  • Health insurance - If you have valid insurance, file documents for reimbursement later based on policy terms after paying the room rent. You can also use your health insurance e-card for cashless hospitalisation.
