Are there any restrictions on using earned rewards?

The restrictions when utilising earned rewards depend on the loyalty program's provider terms and conditions.

  • Some general limitations exist, such as validity periods for claiming rewards after redemption, which range from 3 months to a year. After this period, unused rewards typically expire.
  • Certain reward options, such as travel packages or event tickets, may be restricted to specific dates or have defined blackout periods.
  • Providers may also set minimum spends to redeem particular rewards, caps per member on the number of times a reward can be redeemed annually, or inventory availability for popular brand name merchandise catalogues where back ordering is not permitted.

It is highly advisable that members thoroughly read all Terms & Conditions related to the rewards and restrictions outlined before proceeding to redeem points. This ensures full transparency on limitations at the beginning rather than discovering them later.
